Now that climate change and pollution worries have increased is it now time we all looked at helping the environment by cutting pollution emissions, not only from our vehicles but also in other areas. As petrol mowers and other gas garden tools contribute to 15% of the nation’s air pollution, regulations encourage people to swop in their old petrol lawn mowers for rechargeable electric cordless mowers. https://www.cordlessgardenequipment.co.uk/garden-tools/warrior-eco-battery-powered-lawn-mower/

In this article we are looking at the effect of changing our lawn mowers from petrol models to cordless. With the technology of cordless batteries changing for the better is it not the time to make the change?

Back in the day, before the invention of lawn mowers, grass areas were simply pastures and consumed and cut by cows and sheep. However in some countries this form of keeping the land neat is still used. The animals get fed and in exchange the land owner gets his grass cut!. How green can you get, maybe we should be looking at bringing this method back, and of course everything that gets eaten comes out in the form of fertiliser that can be used for the garden plants. What better way to go green!.

It was Edward Beard Budding who invented the lawn mower, then a heavy gear-driven machine, back in 1830. Motorised engines which were much easy to control and less stressful began to appear in the 1890's. In the 1930's, a farmer named C.C. Stacy began tests with the rotary blade type of lawn mower but it wasn't until quite a few years later that they became mass produced.

During the early days of the cordless revolution the biggest problem came from the low battery life and slow charging of the same. Takes me back to the release of the first mobile phones with the brick style battery. However with the release of each new product range and scientific advances within the industry they are now a viable option to petrol equipment.
