The home occupied by Meg Ryan’s character has a vintage feel to it with floral and pastel colours, which is still a very popular trend at the moment, yet the film is now 20 years old. The film You’ve Got Mail, made a few years later but with the same stars created a New York apartment that was reminiscent of years gone by.
Finding vintage or timeless pieces with which to decorate the home is not very difficult. A quick tour of second-hand shops is a good idea and there are some replica ranges available in the shops. Consider features such as shutters, which are a classic feature that is easily installed in the home.
