Conifer
Leaves are narrow and needlelike and produce seeds
in a conelike structure.
Conservatory
A greenhouse for growing and cultivating plants.
Corm
A corm differs from a bulb in that the food is stored
in the solid centre tissue.
Crown
Portion of a plant at the juncture of the root and
stem or trunk. It is sensitive to rotting if kept
too moist.
Cultivate
To break up the surface of the soil around plants,
removing weeds as you go. The roughened surface retains
water and allows the air to circulate.
Cuttings
Portions of the stem or root that can be induced
to form roots and develop into new plants.
